The STP stepper motor controller boasts many features, making it the ideal choice for most stepper motor control applications. Base features include terminal block connections, optoisolated RS-232 input, four LED coil trigger lights, and 1200 or 9600 baud operation.

The on-board Hexfet* driver stage is capable of driving four coils up to 2 amps while maintaining low heat dissipation in a small footprint.

Motor coils are driven in direct correlation to data sent.  The user sends data to the controller to control the activation of each coil on the stepper motor.  This method offer complete flexibility for controlling most stepper motors.

Based on the NCD-110, this device can be chained with up to 15 other devices using the NCD-110 architecture.  Network the STP on  a single serial port with our 8-Relay controller, 8SC input scanner, AD8 A/D converter, and much more.

The RSB booster may be required when driving several NCD products from a serial port. Operates from 9-18 volts DC.  Compatible with most 5, 6, and 8-wire stepper motors.

Not for use with bipolar (4-wire) stepper motors.
