| The
IRTR infrared data transceiver is used to send and receive
RS-232 data via infrared. It is compatible with any NCD
device equipped with an infrared receiver or transmitter.
Simply connect the IRTR to your
DB25 serial port (or you can use a DB9 adapter) and provide
+12 volts of power.
On power-up, the IRTR is in
data receive mode. Simply send data out the serial port
of your computer at 1200 baud, and it will automatically
switch to transmit mode, send the data, and return to receive
mode. No software changes are required to control NCD
devices with the IRTR other than setting the baud rate in
software (and on the NCD devices) to 1200 baud.
This device is for use with NCD
products only and is not capable of controlling televisions or
VCRs.
THIS DEVICE IS NOT CURRENTLY
AVAILABLE DUE TO A PARTS SHORTAGE OF THE INFRARED RECEIVER
MODULE USED IN THIS DESIGN. |
