ZigBee Relay Controller with
UXP Expansion Port and
XR Expansion Port
Long Range Wireless Control is Effortless!
This relay controller was developed for users with low-current, low-signal switching applications such as telecommunications, networking, video, line-level audio, and much more.
It works like this. Plug our XSC modem of your choice into the USB Port of your computer. The modem will mount as a COM port on your PC. Open the COM port and start sending data to the modem. The modem will forward your data to all XSC compliant devices within range (it is also possible to speak to a specific device when other controllers are in range).
This device uses DPDT relays. A single DPDT relay is made up of 2 SPDT switches. So each relay acts as two switches that are activated at the same time. This allows two independent signals to be switched at one time. In effect, there are two independent switches on a single DPDT relay.
This series of relay controllers are among the smallest, most versatile Long Range Wireless Relay Controllers we offer. In fact, we believe this series to be the smallest long range relay controller on the market with the highest current switching capabilities.
Even a no-frills design deserves a high-quality driver stage, and that's exactly what we put on this Relay controller. Fast-reacting flyback diodes help shunt dangerous voltages away from the driver circuit.
The 5 Amp SPDT relays use hermetically sealed NIAS relays. The 5 Amp SPDT relays use hermetically sealed OMRON relays.

All our XSC Long Range Wireless controllers are part of the ProXR series controllers. If you have developed software that works with one ProXR controller, than it will be possible to use this same software to control ANY ProXR controller without modification. There are no new protocols to learn, no new issues to resolve. Just simple compatibility, just like every other ProXR controller before it, just like every other ProXR controller after it.
With all the control and backward/forward compatibility you have come to expect from the ProXR series command set, this controller allows you to send simple commands to activate relays, read the status of relays, activate up to 16 relay timers, and control up to 256 total relays using the XR expansion port. All relays are electronically latched, simply send a command to turn the relay on, send a different command to turn the relay off.

If you need to add capabilities beyond basic relay control to your application, then you may want to consider using one of our controllers equipped with a UXP Expansion Port. UXP is a standardized data port, specifically for the purpose of speaking to various expansion modules. This Relay Controller is equipped with a UXP port, allowing you to take advantage of extended commands to speak to our growing line of I/O expansion modules.
