USB Virtual COM Relay Controller with 8-Channels of
Analog to Digital Conversion and
the
ProXR Command Set
Our New USB ProXR Lite Series Relay Controllers make it easier than ever to add computer controlled switching to your most demanding computer control applications. Simply connect to your computer and this controller mounts as a Virtual COM Port on your PC, allowing easy programming from any language that supports serial communications.
This ProXR Lite series controller connects to the USB port of your computer and requires a 12VDC Power Supply. Once powered up, the relay controller waits for a command. A command consists of a few bytes of data. Usually between 2 and 6 bytes. Once the command has been received, the controller processes the command, and sends you back ASCII character code 85 to signal the completion of your command.

Mechanical Relays have a good home in low-cost control applications. But for some users, only solid state switching will do. Solid State Relays are ideal for users who require long term reliability, silent operation, or high induction tolerance. Many inductive control applications require a solid state relay. Inductive loads such as Motors, Valves, Pumps, Solenoids, and Large Transformers (including Fluorescent Lighting) benefit from the use of solid state relays because they reduce the chances of the inductive load interfering with the logic of the relay controller.
A more streamlined manufacturing process brings a more durable, reliable and better relay board to the market. Here's a list of great features:
User Friendly Board DesignThe ProXR Lite Series is a great alternative for those looking for a low cost solution that requires the power and reliability of a ProXR Controller. With a wide selection in Relay type and Communication Interface there is a ProXR Lite board to match your application. Every ProXR Lite Board has Breakaway Tabs that give you the option to make the board smaller or fit it for an enclosure. Interchangeable Interface Modules allow you to switch communication interfaces by simply powering down the device and replacing the module.
The ProXR Lite series are based on the same designs that offer a 5 year warranty. However, in an effort to further save cost, we have limited the warranty of the ProXR Lite series controllers. ProXR Lite series controllers are guaranteed ONLY against manufacturing and functionality defects for a period of 30 days. Controllers that are damaged by our customers will not be warranted under any circumstances. ProXR Lite series controllers are designed for long life; however, should they be damaged, they should be discarded and replaced.
Unlike the ProXR series relay controllers, ProXR Lite series controllers are NOT expandable. The firmware still thinks 256 relays are available, however, the relay portion of the controller only responds to the first 1, 2, 4 or 8 relays in Bank 1. We did NOT skip the Analog Input portion of the ProXR Lite. All ProXR Lite controllers offer a 8-Channel 8/10-Bit Analog to Digital Converter in addition to relay control. The ProXR Lite responds to the same firmware as the ProXR series controllers and is therefore 100% compatible with any applications designed to work with a ProXR series controller (click here to see the ProXR command set).

| NOTICE: Solid State Relays are Silent and Offer Extremely Long Life, but May Not Function Properly when Subjected to Radioactive Environments. Forced Air May be Required to Achieve Maximum Load Rating. NCD does NOT Recommend Driving any Relay at Maximum Load. It is Not Possible for NCD to verify Manufacturer Claims of Load Ratings. NCD Solid State Relay Controllers have NOT been Tested at the Rated Loads. Solid State Relays must be carefully selected, AC and DC solid state relays cannot be used interchangeably. Solid State Relays Require a Minimum Load, and will NOT Function Correctly Unless Minimum Load Requirements are Met. External Snubber Circuitry May be Required for Certain Applications. If a Device Turns On, but Does Not Turn Off, this Usually Indicates a Need for a External Snubber Circuit. This May Indicate Minimum Load Requirements Have Not Been Met. Please Research Crydom Solid State Relays or be Familiar with this Technology Prior to Purchase. Please Consult Crydom Engineers to Determine the Best Relay for Your Application www.crydom.com. | |||
