The SSR82AC is our first AC solid state relay controllers, offering all the features of the R8xPRO series relay controllers. Solid State relays are silent, low-cost, and have a reputation for a very long service life.

The SSR82AC has 2 terminal connections for each SPST normally open relay. The SSR82AC can only be used with AC loads between 12 and 240 Watts at 120 VAC. The SSR82AC uses 8 OMRON optically isolated relays with an optically isolated RS-232 interface.

The SSR82AC offers the same command set as the R8xPRO series relay controllers, including the same on-board memory, E3C compliance (allowing 256 devices to share a single serial port), and a slightly smaller footprint.

The SSR82AC includes 8 on-board status LEDs and two additional LEDs driven entirely by the firmware, indicate when a valid command is in process and when the device is ready for commands.

Our new and improved command set allows you to set the status of all relays at once or one relay at a time. In addition, you can request the status of individual relays or all relays at once.

Memory features allow you to store the default on/off status of all relays when power is first applied to the board. In addition, the current relay activation pattern can be stored and recalled into 16 different memory banks, allowing you to define "macros" that prevent some relays from activating at the same time.

A timer function was added to activate one or more relays for controlled periods of time.

Emulation mode is not supported by the SSR82AC.
