Easy Security Configuration
NCD Wi-Fi relay controllers offer a powerful and easy to use wireless solution for relay control. As many of our customers already know, working with Wi-Fi devices can be challenging because they must be associated to a wireless network, and must be configured with security protocols. By combining a Netgear WNCE2001 Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter to our standard Ethernet controllers, we can circumvent all of the problems with working with Wi-Fi at a more reasonable price than working with any available embedded Wi-Fi solution.
WiFi Network Adapter
When you purchase this Wi-Fi relay controller we have bundled a Netgear WNCE2001 Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter with the Ethernet controller for your convenience. The Netgear WNCE2001 Wi-Fi Adapter allows you to take this Ethernet enabled controller and use it wirelessly to connect to a network. The Netgear WNCE2001 is perfectly suited for use with Ethernet devices offering 100% compatibility and easy setup. Configure the WNCE2001 to your wireless network then simply plug it into the Ethernet port of this device. We have tested a couple of different Wi-Fi to Ethernet solutions and the Netgear Universal Wireless Internet Adapter really is the best solution for ease of setup and compatibility with these controllers. If you would like to purchase your own Wi-Fi adapter simply purchase one of our Ethernet controllers found on the left navigation.
Simply configure the Netgear WNCE2001 Wi-Fi Adapter to your existing network and then connect it to your Ethernet device. It's that simple and we'll show you how in the above video.

Ethernet Network Module
This Ethernet relay controller is based on the Digi Connect ME Ethernet communications module. This is a great low-cost solution that has empowered our users since 2005. The Digi Connect ME firmware allows you to login to the device and setup powerful network communication options. Though it does not offer a web browser interface for relay/device control, it does offer many powerful connectivity options for advanced networks at a very low cost. ME Firmware supports Virtual COM Port Ethernet Communications, Direct TCP/IP communications, or direct communication to SignalSwitch.com. ME Firmware is capable of handling only one of these communication options at a time however.Easy Software Development
RealPort Virtual COM Port drivers map a Network IP address to a COM port on your network...allowing you to control this device as though it were directly connected to a serial port on your PC. So network control is now as easy as speaking to a COM port on your local computer....except this device works over the network. This device also supports Telnet and Data Encryption with Password Protection. This device includes a Digi Connect ME Ethernet Interface and Embedded Web Server from www.digi.com.Many Communication Protocols for Advanced Users
Advanced users may want to employ other communication protocols to speak the the Ethernet Relay Controller. NCD Ethernet Relay Controllers can also be controlled using Telnet. I.P. Addresses and are automatically or manually assigned. NCD Ethernet Relay Controllers also support security protocols such as Shared Key, WEP, WPA, and Cisco LEAP with support for WEP, TKIP, and CCMP data encryption.About ProXR
If you are new to our products, we would like to introduce to you is a term we call "ProXR". ProXR refers to a set of standardized commands used for computer control and data collection. A controller that supports the ProXR command set is a controller that is built to control up to 256 relays, using commands that can be sent to any controller that offers ProXR compatibility. This allows software developers to create programs for our products, then upgrade or change connectivity options without having to rewrite their software. ProXR commands can be sent to our controllers via the RS-232 serial port, the USB port, Wireless ZigBee, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 802.11b...all without rewriting your software....simply develop your programs to work with the serial port of your computer. Let ProXR controllers manage the rest.
With all the control and backward/forward compatibility you have come to expect from the ProXR series command set, this controller allow you to send simple commands to activate relays, read the status of relays, activate up to 16 relay timers, and control up to 256 total relays using the XR expansion port. All relays are electronically latched, simply send a command to turn the relay on, send a different command to turn the relay off.
A/D Conversion
Analog to Digital Conversion allows you to read voltage levels from 0-5 volts using 8-bit or 10-bit resolution. This is particularly useful for reading temperature sensors (one temperature sensor is built into the board, shared with analog input number 8). A/D Inputs are also useful for reading light level sensors, thermocouples, switch closures, or just about any other kind of sensor you can think of. Built-In Pull-Up/Down Resistors keep the inputs quiet. Eight Different A/D Sample programs are available in the NCD Component Library. These samples are available as a free download and are compatible with Visual Studio. We've got sensors! WiFi control with a Web Browser
NCD Currently offers 2 variations of the Ethernet Modules. The .NET with Web-Browser interface is also available..NET is our own breed of Network Communications. .NET is an Open-Source project that offers a powerful web-browser interface for direct control of relays from a web-page served directly to users from the .NET module, without the need for a server. .NET is accessible from anywhere on your local area network. If you have a static IP address, .NET is accessible from anywhere in the world. In addition to a web browser relay control interface, .NET devices also allow you to control the device from your own software through direct TCP/IP communications while still hosting a web browser interface. Write software that directly accesses the controller or access the control from your web browser. .NET also supports a simultaneous connection to SignalSwitch.com, allowing you to control the .NET from our server, your program, or your web browser...all at the same time. As an Open-Source project, you can customize the interface as needed using .NET development tools. Use the chart below to compare features of the ZETH-ME and ZETH-NET Ethernet Modules. This board can be upgraded with the .NET module upon checkout.
